Client Brief
The homeowners sought a refined interior that referenced English Colonial Victorian architecture while remaining relevant to contemporary living. They were concerned that traditional detailing might feel overly ornate or heavy within a modern home.
Design Approach
This home is shaped by the principles of English Colonial architecture, where balance, symmetry, and restraint define the space. Rather than relying on ornamentation, the design focuses on architectural structure expressed through arched details, wall panelling, and carefully aligned proportions.
A restrained palette and controlled lighting soften the formality of the space, ensuring the architecture remains the primary expression while the interior feels composed, welcoming, and timeless.
